2nd – 3rd Grades Sunday School

Hear, O Israel: The Lord is God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. Bind them as a sign on your hand, fix them as an emblem on your forehead, and write them on the door posts of your house and on your gates. – Deuteronomy 6:4-9

2nd – 3rd Grades
Sundays, 9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.

Our 2nd-3rd graders begin exploring their Bibles as we go deeper into the stories of the Old and New Testaments.  The children start with the story of Abraham and learn the beginning of the family tree of Jesus.   After Christmas we begin to learn the life and ministry of Jesus and his disciples.  The children gather in the Chapel for singing with Roberta Wentling, Children’s Choir Director at the beginning of the Sunday School time.  We sing songs relating to our stories, songs of the church as well as acquainting children with our hymnal.  Sunday school for 2nd and 3rd grades is located in the Faith/Hope Classroom on the upper level.
