The Union Church of Hinsdale's Special Outreach Committee provides substantial financial assistance to diverse and innovative causes on a local, national, and global basis; through our: Endowment Fund Board, which administers, invests and promotes the growth of the endowment fund and subsequently distributes 5% of its market value each year to extended ministries of the church. Women's Association and Men's Club that contributes to the work of countless outreach organizations each year. A Mission Board liaison to this committee participates in the work of this committee. Board of Christian Mission that directs funds for projects and special offerings, and recruits volunteers for outreach. Board of Christian Social Justice that educates the congregation on issues of jus! tice in contemporary life, and advises and supports individuals and organizations who do justice work.

 Money Available for Hands-on Mission Work! - Have an idea for a new Mission opportunity or special project? Download the new Application for Special Projects Fund, fill it out and turn it into the Minister for Christian Mission.
The Christian Mission Ministry would like to give money to Union Church members who wish to do hands on mission work. The applications will be evaluated by the Agency Committee of the Christian Mission Ministry which will make recommendations to the Ministry for its vote. |
