Union Church will begin listing current volunteer opportunities on the website and in the Good News under the heading “Call to Serve.”Ministries may request volunteers for current, short-term needs using the sample format below:

Coffee hour host [SAMPLE]
Sunday mornings in October 2007

Tasks involved: Make and serve coffee, cold
drinks and snack food after 10 a.m. service.

Monthly soup and bread delivery to Chicago soup kitchen
Tuesdays 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Tasks involved: Deliver soup and bread to San Lucas UCC and help serve it; male preferred due to heavy lifting and city neighborhood
