Vacation Bible School 2008
Registration Open Now

Vacation Bible School [VBS] is a community-wide fellowship for children ages 4 through 4th Grade. It is a week long adventure of experiencing Bible stories through an interactive combination of music, art, snacks, games, worship, and drama. Mission projects relating to the VBS theme are strongly encouraged. Vacation Bible School is currently scheduled in the afternoons June 23-27, 2008. Get registered today!

on University of Chicago Campus

Slated for 2012 completion, CTS facility marks
 first new United Church of Christ seminary in 50 years

Chicago Theological Seminary is planning a 2012 move from its historic Hyde Park home to new facilities nearby on the University of Chicago campus. The planned building, at the southeast corner of South Dorchester Avenue and East 60th Street, marks the first newly constructed United Church of Christ seminary in 50 years. Read more...


Allegro Handbell Ensemble Send-off Concert
Sunday, June 8, at 4:00 PM

Following their Send-off Concert at Union Church on Sunday, June 8, at 4:00 PM, the Allegro Handbell Ensemble will be on tour June 10 – 19 to the Pacific Northwest, with concerts in the state of Washington and the province of British Columbia. For more information see http://www.allegrobells.org/content/view/52/80


Proposed Constitutional Updates 
On May 4th there was a Union Forum led by Joyce Skoog, moderator, about upcoming proposed constitutional updates. This meeting focused on the Early Childhood Program and board culture vs. ministry culture as it related to the proposed changes to the Union Church Constitution.
