God said, ‘This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creation that is with you, for all future generations: I have set my bow in the clouds, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. – Genesis 9:12-13
Kindergarten – 1st Grade
Sundays, 9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.
Entering school is a new beginning and so we celebrate this
milestone by planting the seeds of faith through a more structured class. The children are engaged in God’s word through storytelling and asking wondering questions. Children learn the faith foundation stories from the Old and New Testaments as well as the rituals of our faith. Kids love to sing at this age. At the beginning of our Sunday school time we will gather with Roberta Wentling, Children’s Choir Director, in the Chapel for some singing. We sing songs relating to our stories, songs of the church as well as acquainting children with our hymnal. Sunday school for kindergarten and first grade is located in Classroom J&K across from the Gathering Space on the main level.
