Information: Jeremy Hylen grew up in Charlotte, MI, and attended the First Congregational Church. He graduated from Hope College in Holland, MI in 2000 with a dual B.A. in English and Classical Studies. He then graduated from Central Michigan University in 2004 with a M.A. in English Language and Literature. Following this degree Jeremy attended The Chicago Theological Seminary, and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 2008.

Jeremy comes to us after working for the Michigan Conference U.C.C. for nine years as an employee at Camp Talahi, most recently as the Camp Director for the past three summers. From 2001-2007 Jeremy also served as the Michigan Conference representative to the board of directors for the Office of General Ministries and the Executive Council at the national level of the U.C.C.

Jeremy is passionate about helping students explore issues relating to their faith journey while also being mindful of how their living affects others through areas relating to social justice and care for God's creation. In his spare time Jeremy enjoys cooking, reading, being outside, and watching sports (especially University of Michigan football). Jeremy lives in Hinsdale and makes a point of driving his truck as little as possible.
